Something new for me!  Going through my dad's print shop inspired me to try my hand at printmaking.  I began translating some of my favorite images onto linoleum blocks and printing them. After some satisfying experimentation, I decided to add color, creating  hand-colored, uniquely individual pieces.

Three companion pieces similar to these recently sold in a silent art auction at Monte Vista Elementary School. I was happy not only to contribute these prints to the auction, but also to enjoy the wonderful array of both children's art and other adult art. I'll have some of these at La Parada next weekend.
             

I am excited to be invited to participate in the 7th annual Kenny Chavez Cinco de Mayo Folk Art & Music Festival! If you have not had a chance to visit Farm & Table yet, it is absolutely worth the trip. There will be plenty of fabulous food, music, and hand made art from some very talented artists. And just in time for Mother's Day gift shopping! Please save the date and come out to the beautiful north valley and say hello!

Spring is finally here! We love to shake off the winter and get out into the light again at this time of year. With warmer weather comes new and inspiring ideas, and right now, for me, that means glow in the dark!

It's that time of year when we notice the breeze feeling cooler, the sun setting earlier, and we clear our altar to prepare for the new year's ofrenda.  We have a new batch of small and mini skulls, the perfect addition to any altar or dedication space.

These dazzling beauties have made their way to Mariposa Gallery in Nob Hill for the annual Day of the Dead show.

                                                                         



I am happy to contribute to the Manzano High School football program for their golf tournament and fundraiser. Go Monarchs!
